OUR STORY

Instruxo was founded by Rafael Gerena, a former Economics Reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Rafael, whose nickname is Ralph, was often frustrated by the complexity of product guides and other forms of business information for consumers. Communicating with customers is hard in any language. So, he started Instruxo to help companies communicate with international customers in the native language they understand. This service, along with Instruxo’s business network in other parts of the world, helps U.S. companies speed sales to buyers in other countries.

Florida Technology Journal ranked Instruxo as one of “Florida’s Most Innovative Companies.” The website, Intersect.com, says “Rafael is passionate about the importance of international business and communication.”

OUR VALUES

Instruxo’s founder, Rafael Gerena, is a big believer in community involvement. As a result, he and his family volunteer at a local nursing home in the Orlando, Fl., area. Promoting literacy is another important goal. Thus, Rafael helps First Book Orlando raise money to buy books and distribute them for free to children who don’t have any. The goal is to help kids fall in love with reading and empower them with skills that will improve their lives. First Book has delivered more than 80 million books to programs serving children across the U.S. and Canada. Learn more by visiting www.firstbook.org.

Another advocacy group, Room to Read, promotes child literacy in the developing world. It builds libraries and schools, publishes local-language children’s books and supports girls’ education in south and south-east Asia and southern Africa. Learn more by visiting www.roomtoread.org.
